Master's Message
Kent Ridge Hall is well known in NUS and beyond to be a dynamic hall.
Reflected in the lion rampant guardant on our hall crest, Kent Ridgeans embody the drive and courage to challenge ourselves to break new grounds and scale greater heights in all our endeavours.
As we continually seek knowledge, truth, and wisdom, we will discover that our journey will invariably be filled with challenges that will strain our minds and bodies – threatening to derail us from our goals. But it is through the endurance, persistence, and grit that we develop in this very process that we will one day achieve our collective and individual goals.
In our pursuit for excellence, we remain open-minded and humble. As we elevate ourselves, we must never forget where we came from and always be ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Lessons we learn from the Hall will help launch us beyond the confines of NUS – to the universe beyond! Striving for causes bigger than ourselves will help ensure that these lessons will go on to benefit more people.
“For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack!”
In order for us to achieve our collective ideal, we need to create, nurture and maintain a closely-knit community in our Kent Ridge Hall family. This is a family in which we respect and support one another. This is also a family in which every one of us has the moral courage to stand up and protect the interest and wellbeing of our fellow residents, because we don’t believe in leaving anyone behind.
We welcome you to speak to us, and find out more about the great tradition of Kent Ridge Hall.
